DUKE
Duke is a 2.5 year old Black & Tan Coonhound mix with a great attitude. He weighs about 65 pounds and is very sweet. He is neutered and heartworm negative, and up-to-date on his vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Duke gets along with adults, children, and other dogs. He won’t intentionally hurt a cat, but because he believes them to be toys to play with, it would be best that he not have access to cats.
When Duke was rescued from Barrow County Animal Control almost two years ago at the age of 8 months, he was very rambunctious. He apparently had not had anyone to teach him how to act. But, with time, training, and love, he has calmed down a lot. Duke loves to play ball and loves attention.
Duke has no aggression issues and rides very well in the car, but he does need a little training to walk better on the leash. He lives in a pen with a doghouse, but he has access to a large backyard twice a day. Duke needs a forever home with someone who can provide him with a large fenced-in backyard in which to run and play and be safe, and who can give him the love and attention he deserves.
