Mia              URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This little girl was discovered by friends of our rescue, when they moved into a new subdivision. Believed to be abandon, she is in need of medical now! As you can see by her picture, she has a horrible tumor as large as a grape on one side of her nose. This little siamese just broke our heart when we saw the picture. She is as sweet as she can be. Our friends are trying to take care of her but we need donations to cover her medical. Mia is in need of an exam, combo test, vaccines, and a biopsy asap.

This little girl is very thin and we are extremely worried about her. She has been living outside and we have our fingers crossed that Mia can be helped!

The day Bud was rescued!

This story will break your heart as this coonhound was beyond pitiful!  Bud is a senior Black & Tan Coonhound who has come a long way since last September, when he was picked up as a stray by animal control on the southside of Atlanta.  Blind, emaciated, and dehydrated, Bud was put into isolation, where he had very little chance of rescue or adoption.  Miraculously, a couple of ladies found Bud and sent out urgent requests for his rescue.  A wonderful “rescue angel” stepped forward and said she would take him. A visit to the veterinarian revealed Bud also had urinary, eye, and ear infections; a bad case of hookworms; anemia; a tick-borne disease called Ehrlichia; and a growth the size of a nickel on the side of his neck.  Amazingly, he was heartworm negative. 

Bud (aka THE MAN) has required lots and lots of veterinary care.  Initially weighing in at 58 pounds, Bud now weighs 78 pounds.  A healthy male Black & Tan Coonhound weighs between 80 and 90 pounds.  After seeing more veterinarians—including an internal medicine specialist, a veterinary ophthalmologist, and a veterinary skin and allergy specialist—Bud is on his way to full recovery.  However, because he was neglected for so long, the infection in both ears caused severe scarring, resulting in chronic recurring ear infections, which he is still battling.

Bud’s laboratory tests, medications, and surgeries—including neutering, an eye removal due to an irreversible case of glaucoma, teeth cleaning and a tooth extraction, and laser surgery on his right ear canal (the left ear still needs to be done) to remove the bacteria-harboring scar tissue—have been extremely costly.

PLEASE HELP SASSY!!!!!!!!!!!!! URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sweet kitty was rescued by a rescue angel when she was four months old. She seemed to have a bad cold and was taken to the vet for treatment. Sassy was referred to a specialist. Her examination determined that Sassy had been HIT or KICKED as a tiny kitten which had BROKEN the right side of her face and damaged

the tissues in her nasal passage. This damage has led to ongoing nasal infections which have caused further

damage.

Georgia Veterinary Specialist has done an MRI, CT scan and a biopsy culture.

Sassy's health will never be normal but everyone is hopeful that a treatment route to make her as comfortable

as possible, can be implemented.

Sassy's vet bills have already reached $ 1939.04 and help is now needed to cover the expenses and help Sassy get the care she needs.

Madison                                                                              

In February 2008 my mother was diagnosed with cancer that had spread to her bones and other parts of her body. In May, 2008 my mother passed away leaving behind a wonderful black lab named Madison. Her main concern was that Madison have a place to go and that she would be taken care of. While Madison was always an outside dog, with little to no contact with other dogs or cats, her personality is the typical fun loving lab and I was sure she would adjust to living inside with other animals. She was well taken care of and my mother always made sure she had what she needed. Madison was taken into our rescue with the hope of finding her the perfect home where she could be the star! Upon having a vet exam, it was discovered that Madison has numerous tumors and arthritis in her hip. While none are life threatening at the moment, we need to have more vet work done for Madison. She needs to have a blood profile and a urinalysis, along with regular exams to keep her healthy since she is a geriatric girl. Due to her medical condition and age ( 11 years young ) if a home is not found, Madison will always have a permanent place with all of our other foster fur kids. We love her dearly!

Please remember to provide a place for your animals in the event of your death as we see many, many animals that

end up in county shelters due to a death in the family or the death of a friend.
